On a recent trip to Caye Chapel Resort on the barrier reef of Belize, we had numerous barracuda stalking the bonefish cruising by the fishing dock and of course everytime we hooked a nice bonefish, a giant splash and the giant barracudas had a free meal so I hunted the backside flats for mullet and into the bucket a few went, one wire leader and a hook in the back and it didn't take long to see and experience the incredible cuda take. The rod was immediately handled by one of the corporate guests Maro, and he was in for the fight of a lifetime. This was his biggest catch and after a number of great pictures, this giant was released,. The dockmaster was not too happy, he wanted us to keep him but we felt it was always great to see this natural predator prey relationship go on for others to see and experience. I have been hosting and specializing in corporate and individual fishing and golf packages for 24 years and I will say that my most recent trip to Caye Chapel Island Resort on the barrier reef of Belize was truly amazing. I hosted 25 corporate executives from Dufferin Concrete in Toronto Canada and their best customers in a fantastic fishing and golf adventure. From catching giant 5 foot barracudas off the dock, to one bonefish after the other, the great fishing and boat runs was experienced by one and all.
